Bring ID where asked
Some sites need a photo ID and proof of address, including Salvation Army Vallejo and both senior food sites. If you have no ID, ask before you go.
Get there early
Some sites close when food runs out, and some need you in line before closing. Drive-thru sites keep you in your car.

Where is the Vallejo food bank?
The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano serves Vallejo. Its Solano County warehouse is in Fairfield, at 2370 N Watney Way, but food reaches Vallejo through the pantries, produce stops and mobile distributions listed on this page.
What food sites are open on the weekend in Vallejo?
On Saturdays: Boys & Girls Empowerment Group every Saturday, JFK Library on the 2nd and 4th Saturday, North Vallejo Community Center on the 3rd Saturday, and Calvary Community Church and Friendship Missionary Baptist Church on the 4th Saturday. On Sundays: Faith Food Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and a hot meal at First Baptist Church of Vallejo from 5 to 6 p.m.
Do I need ID to get food?
It depends on the site. Salvation Army Vallejo and both senior food program sites ask for a photo ID and proof of address. Many other sites do not list a requirement, but each pantry sets its own guidelines, so ask when you call.
How often can I get food?
It varies. Some sites distribute every week, some on set weeks of the month, and Vallejo Seventh-day Adventist Community Services offers food support once per month per person.
How do I know a site is open before I go?
Call the site's number on this page, or call the Food Bank at 855-309-3663. Holidays and supply can change a schedule.
Does Pathfinders for Hope give out food?
No. Pathfinders for Hope does not run a food bank or pantry. This page organizes the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano's published Vallejo schedule so it is easier to use.

Why Vallejo organizations should apply
A food site can tell someone where to go next. Nobody checks whether they got there. Operation Iron Gate is the referral-accountability pilot Pathfinders for Hope is building here in Vallejo, so a referral counts as finished when the person arrives, not when it is sent.

The Vallejo pilot has not launched. Recruiting for it has. Cohort 01 is deliberately small: a handful of Vallejo organizations that already refer people to each other. A person on our team reads every application. Apply to the Vallejo pilot.
