Volunteer With Us
At Pathfinders For Hope, we believe real change starts with real people — and volunteers are the heartbeat of everything we do. Whether it’s handing out care packs, helping someone get vital documents, or simply showing up with consistency and kindness, our volunteers play a direct role in helping others move from surviving to thriving.
We don’t ask for perfection. We ask for your presence. A couple of hours a week, a specific skill you want to share, or even just a willingness to learn — it all matters.
Ways You Can Help
Here are some of the ways volunteers jump in and make a tangible impact:
Street Outreach Support: Ride along with our outreach team to visit encampments and offer supplies, encouragement, and practical help.
Document Help Desk: Assist with organizing and tracking applications for IDs, birth certificates, and essential paperwork.
Administrative Support: Help our case managers stay organized by supporting behind-the-scenes work that keeps services moving.
Events + Donation Drives: Pitch in at pop-up events, community dinners, and local drives to collect hygiene items, gear, or seasonal clothing.
Creative Skills or Trades: Have experience in haircuts, resume writing, cooking, gardening, or repairs? Let’s put it to good use.
Spiritual Companionship: For those called to listen, pray, or simply sit with someone, your presence is often the most powerful offering of all.
"Some of our most trusted team members started as volunteers just showing up once a week — and ended up changing lives, including their own."

Community Ambassadors
Leadership That Starts With Lived Experience
The Community Ambassador Program is a special kind of volunteer role — designed for individuals who have personally experienced homelessness and want to give back in a leadership capacity.
Ambassadors help welcome new residents, guide them through services, and support outreach efforts with powerful empathy and firsthand insight. They’re mentors, connectors, and catalysts for change.
